Armored Corps Museum

brown bar

The Armored Corps Museum is located at the former British Police post, from Mandate days. This post controlled the main highway from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv, and was of crucial strategic importance to both sides in the 1948 war and again in the 1967 war, when Israel finally managed to capture it from Jordan.

Included in the exhibits is a memorial to all who have served in the armored corps. It is a poignant reminder of the waste of human potential caused by the on-going conflict here and around the world. So many of the dead are were so very young.
